This electrode exhibits unusually good AC wedling characteristics, slag release and instant re-strike. APPLICATIONS: For joining and repairing of boiler plate, pipe steels, shipbuilding steels, and cast steels. Ideal for weathering steels and steels, such as “Corten”. Great for overlaying shafts and other worn parts. It is also used to repair and fabricate cold and hot rolled steels and most construction grades. Use on angle irons, beams, tanks and farm equipment. WELDING TECHNIQUES: Clean weld area and chamfer or bevel as needed. Maintain a short arc gap and use a stringer or slight weave technique. Chip slag thoroughly between passes. Peen weld immediately after breaking the arc.
